Conservative councillors running West Sussex are delivering for the county, says East Grinstead councillor Jacquie Russell who is standing for re-election in East Grinstead South & Ashurst Wood.
"During my time as an elected representative for East Grinstead at West Sussex, working together we have:
• Enabled Age UK to relocate from Swan Mead to Glen Vue Community Hub.
• Secured £100k investment to install the Lewes Rd Toucan Crossing on the A22
• Achieved a £300k investment into safer crossing and accessibility scheme in Chequer Mead car park
• Supported our hospitality sector to create an alfresco dining scene in the town.
• Secured £65k to resurface Imberhorne Lane from Heathcote Drive to Turners Hill Rd
• Successfully upgraded the Forest Way crossing point on Herontye
• Enabled mobility scooter users to have safe passage on the Turners Hill Rd.
• Secured £5.5m funding for Imberhorne Lower School to upgrade toilets and replace modular buildings for Music, SEND and Staff Admin.
"In total we have secured £6m investment for East Grinstead on your behalf. This is what local councillors are elected to do. Your priorities are my priorities and I don’t promise what I can’t deliver.
"The Conservative administration at West Sussex have, year-on-year, delivered a balanced budget, with no cuts and no use of reserves. We have a proven track record of sound investment into critical service delivery.
"Voting Conservative will be a vote for experienced local Councillors, with a proven track record of service delivery and the mandate to build upon what we have already achieved.
"A vote for the Conservatives will provide stability and protect both the progress we have made and focus on your priorities locally", she says.
