Conservatives at Uckfield Business Awards ceremony to congratulate their success

Uckfield's MP, Mims Davies, joined Conservative county councillors Claire and Chris Dowling along with the Chairman of East Sussex County Council, Cllr Roy Galley at the town's Business Awards ceremony last night. 

Open to all businesses in Uckfield and the surrounding area, the accolades were launched in 2012 to promote the achievements and diversity of the area's business community.  Organised by Uckfield Chamber of Commerce they culminated this year in a prestigious black-tie awards ceremony held at the East Sussex National Hotel on Thursday 26th September with 15 award categories presented.

The current Green/Liberal Democrat/Labour administration has taken a different approach, including supporting AN INCREASE in housing numbers such as the proposed massive Owlsbury development. Your local Liberal Democrat and Labour councillors are both members of the Wealden District Council Cabinet. They are also both members of and vote on the Major Planning Committee for housing developments
