East Grinstead Conservative Cllr Rex Whittaker has helped find the town's all-important Banking Hub a new home at 83-85 London Road.
The Imberhorne ward councillor has been a driving force in finding the town's banking hub a permanent home.
It is operated by the Post Office and open on weekdays with representatives of larger high street banks being available on set days.
In recent years many of the major banks have closed their East Grinstead branches.
Councillor Whittaker has been working behind the scenes negotiating with officers at Mid Sussex District Council to find the hub a permanent base so that face-to-face banking services are still available in the town for those who need them.
The new Hub will serve customers as follows from 9am to 5pm:
Mondays - Lloyds Banking Group (Halifax. BoS)
Tuesdays - Barclays
Wednesdays - Nat West
Thursdays - HSBC
Fridays Santander.
