Lorraine Carvalho is honoured to have been selected as your West Sussex County Council candidate for East Grinstead Meridian division.
She says: "As an experienced District Councillor for Mid–Sussex, I know and understand the issues and concerns you have from potholes, to too much development and waste collection issues.
"As your elected member for East Grinstead Meridian, I will be seeking to work for residents, parents, business people and visitors to ensure those improvements planned by WSCC are completed on time and within budget.
These and other issues of concern include:
• The resurfacing of Blackwell Hollow and College Road.
• Liaising with parents and residents about the parking issues at Blackwell Primary School at drop off
and collection times.
• Engaging with the St Agnes Road residents over the unadopted road.
• Traffic calming in and around St John’s Road.
In total, East Grinstead county councillors have secured over £6m investment for East Grinstead on your behalf. This is what local councillors are elected to do. Your priorities are my priorities, and I don’t promise what I can’t deliver.
The Conservative administration at West Sussex have, year-on-year, delivered a balanced budget, with no cuts to services and without the need to draw upon the Council’s Reserves. We have a proven track record of sound investment in order to facilitate critical service delivery.
Voting Conservative will be a vote for experienced local Councillors, with the skills and knowledge to build upon what we have already achieved.
A vote for the Conservatives will provide stability and protect both the progress we have made, and build on achieving your priorities locally.
