Dear EGU Conservative Association
I just wanted to express my sincerest thanks to you and the East Grinstead and Uckfield Association for your generous donation to my mayoral campaign. Please do pass on my very best wishes to everyone, especially the Executive Team, and assure them that I will spend every penny wisely.
I know how challenging times are for our Party at the moment and how demoralised our members are feeling, especially with the recent defections. However, it’s always easier to move with the masses than to stand and re-build. It takes real strength to face what you’ve lost, get up and determine to walk forwards, remembering that progress is never linear but it will make your goal stronger.
We must not forget that it was the Conservatives that saved Britain from socialism in the 80’s, halved taxes for everybody and created a property-owning democracy. It was also the Conservatives that saved this country in the aftermath of 13 years of a Labour Government that crippled us financially and destroyed our education system and it was the Conservatives who delivered Brexit, oversaw the fastest roll-out of Covid vaccine to save lives and kept businesses afloat with the furlough scheme.
Let’s keep the faith and do what we do best….get up and fight for what we truly believe in!
I am really looking forward to joining everyone on the campaign trail over the coming months.
We are an amazing team when we work together.
