Mims Davies MP Updates Residents on Day Five without water for so many constituents:
Mims Davies MP said:
It’s Wednesday morning and we’re unbelievably on Day Five of this disgraceful outage.
Nutley, Forest Row, Ashurst Wood should be okay now and the area around Dunnings Mill pub - please do let me know if you’re not: [email protected]
I’m being told by SE Water that we should see water in taps by later on today - we shall see - please do continue sharing with me whether you have water or not and I will be holding them to account.
I have a meeting with Mid Sussex District Council later regarding bin collections and recycling bins regarding the water bottles as I know this is something residents have been sharing with me, as well as missed bin collections to add insult to injury.
Queen Victoria Hospital is still performing well, but there is now a critical incident in Sussex and Surrey hospitals around flu and norovirus.
Water Stations still here:
📍Kings Centre - Moat Rd, East Grinstead RH19 3LN
📍East Grinstead Sports Club - Saint Hill Rd, East Grinstead RH19 4JU
📍East Court - College Lane, East Grinstead, West Sussex RH19 3LTI am also joining DEFRA Ministers this afternoon - I’ll be sure to keep you updated on the outcome of that meeting.
Thank you for your stoicism and kind words about what I’ve been doing, I am so sorry about what you’ve been through and a massive thanks to all our #volunteers and teams who’ve been helping, particularly Sussex 4x4 delivering in our most rural areas and helping those with livestock.
You know I’ve called for new #leadership at South East Water. We as MPs have come together in Kent and Sussex to hold these people to account and see real change.
