I have lived in Hunters Way for nearly 38 years. I am married to Chris; we have two daughters and three grandsons, and I work in Chris’ Uckfield-based business.

I believe strongly in collaborative working to deliver results for our community.  I work with Uckfield Town Council, community groups, our MP, and residents.

It is a privilege to represent you and to work on both town-wide and individual matters.

If re-elected, I will continue to:

• Support  residents, groups and businesses

• Represent your needs and the needs of Uckfield on the many issues that are important to us.

• Protect our environment for future generations

• Campaign for road safety and appropriate speed limit measures.

I hope I can count on your support on 7th May.

Claire and Mims Davies MP

In the 2023 Wealden District Council elections, Green Party candidates campaigned to DECREASE housing numbers.

The current Green/Liberal Democrat/Labour administration has taken a different approach, including supporting AN INCREASE in housing numbers such as the proposed massive Owlsbury development.

Your local Liberal Democrat and Labour councillors are both members of the Wealden District Council Cabinet.

They are also both members of and vote on the Major Planning Committee  for housing developments– is this fair?

In my view this raises important questions about whether our area is receiving the representation it needs.

I do not want to see our Sussex countryside lost to overdevelopment.

Uckfield is being strangled by developments that its infrastructure cannot support.

In Uckfield North, I have stood with residents in objecting to the Downlands development and I am concerned about the wider impact of overdevelopment across Wealden District.

I am firmly committed to protecting our countryside and ensuring that development is sustainable, proportionate and supported by appropriate infrastructure.
