Cllr Jacquie Russell lives in East Grinstead and is the county councillor for East Grinstead South & Ashurst Wood division, and, along with Cllr John Dabell, the district councillor for East Grinstead Town ward.

Jacquie is a former Co-Director of a Construction Project management company and is now a Property Developer. Previously she has been Leader of East Grinstead Town Council and Chairmen of its Planning Committee. She is a mother of five, grandmother of two, and enjoys walking and photography.

Jacquie says: "I have been a Councillor since 2015 serving the residents of East Grinstead at the Town Council where I held the role of Chairman of Planning and briefly Leader before being elected in 2017 to West Sussex County Council where I currently have held the post of Cabinet Member for Children and Young People since October 2019 where I have overseen the improvement journey of Children's Services. 

Jacquie is the Cabinet Member for Children Young People Learning and Skills overseeing both children's social care and education. Asides overseeing the continuing improvement journey in Children's Social Care, in Education, she is overseeing our SEND improvement plan which is focussing on improving the timeliness of delivery of Education, Health and Care Plans and increasing provision and support for our children with SEN(D) in mainstream and specialist settings.
