Sarah Webster - your Conservative Candidate for Wivelsfield ward in the by-election on 10th October 2024
I am Sarah Webster, a local parish councillor for over 10 years representing rural villages.
I have a proven track record in working on and completing Neighbourhood Village Plans. I have fought two speculative planning applications and won.
I stand for giving local villages a strong voice at Lewes District Council to encourage appropriate planning applications but robustly oppose mass, inappropriate planning applications that are not in the interests of village needs but developers pockets.
End the Green shambles
Over the past five years, the Green/Lib Dem Alliance and now Green/Labour Alliance have so far not delivered a local plan but have delivered a loss of green space.Due to the lack of effort from the Greens, a local plan that could have stood up to inappropriate development has now laid the way for mass housing development without consideration to local infrastructure, road safety and rural identity.
- I will stand up for Wivelsfield ward and give the village its voice back.
- I will deliver on a local plan, improve the embarrassing recycling rates and look closely at what your council tax is doing for you.
- I am committed to putting Wivelsfield ward first!
